I made a wubsie for Cameron to match her blanket. I brought it to her yesterday and it was such a hit. The size was perfect for Cameron to pick up and carry (or throw) and the soft fabric was perfect for her to cozy up against. What a perfect gift!
Tony asked me to make 2 blankets and bring them back to Michigan with me. Thanks to Tony for his 3rd "Luverlies" purchase. He currently holds the record...he might be tied with Alexa. I take that back...Clare definately has purchased the most!
A big THANK YOU to all of my friends for supporting Lisa's Luverlies! I am so appreciative...words can't describe it.
May 2010 be full of joy and prosperous for us all!
Kim requested I make a blanket for her baby girl to match the colors of her nursery (pink and green). This is the first time I Incorporated a really soft nubby fabric typically found on traditional baby blankets. I tried to make it look a little more modern by mixing it with the retro and polka dot cotton fabrics. I also made a really soft wubsie to match (new and improved wubbie) which is small in size and perfect for when Emma becomes a toddler!
Elissa asked me to make a blanket for Alisha's new baby! I am waiting for a picture of Brooke on the blanket. She is the cutest thing ever...with spikey dark brown hair...so adorable! I already have a Brooke Blanket (Gil's niece) so I am not sure what to name this blanket. I will have to find out if she has middle name!
Hmmm...where to start! I guess at the very beginning way before Lisa's Luverlies existed. It all started the year we found out my brother and his wife were having a baby. I wanted to do something really special...and of course...unique! My boss taught me how to make the 'drag around' blanket and then I made the onesies and a little bonnet to match. Even before I had finished making it I had requests from my sister and other friends to make blankets for their friends. And thats how it all started. I guess I have my niece Kendall (shown in the photo) to thank. Or my brother and sister-in law! :)
Since then I have made well over 100 blankets. And I am very proud to say each of them have been different from each other and created for each special baby! Thus, the blankets are named after the baby they are given to. I think I am over my limit so I will add pricing and more photos in a regular blog. More to come!
